Roe,

Wow, you covered a lot of stuff in one post. I have to say that all of it is also of concern to me, especially the rising cost of healthy foods. It's hard enough to maintain a family these days. Even "bad" food is too expensive. But what's worse is that we are bombarded with imperatives that we eat healthfully, yet most Americans can't afford to do this every day.

I hope this brings us back to the time when families in neighborhood shared expenses. I just started meeting a friend to cook meals on one afternoon a week. We use all organics and split the cost of several dishes, which we take home and freeze. Everyone can't do this, but we will all have to come up with solutions that work for us to economize and be as healthy as possible.

Thanks for calling attention to these important issues.
