Ringing in the New Year!

Wishing only good health, much peace & love
in the coming year.! Happy 2010 !

Quote:
I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me. ~~Anaïs Nin

This New Year's Eve is a Full Moon and also a Blue Moon (2 full moons in one month), it is also the 13th full moon of 2009. The next Blue Moon will be in 29 years on December 31th, 2028 .. and Lunar Eclipse in Cancer.

It is widely known, that we tend to be more emotionally expressive during a Full Moon. The energy is high due to the change in the electromagnetic energy that affects us mentally and neurologically. 'Luna Magic' for sure.

As we close out 2009, I want to thank all of you that have shared this journey with me,
and wish you all the best that 2010 can bring you.

Remember to scroll down for the December 2009 Blog give a way, if you have not already left a comment to be included in the drawing.!! Be sure to include your full name and email address so that we may contact you.

End Quote:

We will open the book. Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.

see you next year!

Giving Thanks and saying Thank you.!

Quote:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today
and creates a vision for tomorrow.
~~ Melody Beattie

Swimming Garlic & Garden Delights

This is the view from my bedroom, the pergola is moving along .. if it would just stop raining for a few days .. we may actually be able to complete it.!

These are the 'scapes' the 'flower' of the garlic. The are the curly shapes, which you have to cut first .. so that the garlic heads will grow. Wait a few weeks after cutting the scapes, which you can saute like chives or use in a vase as a flower arrangement like I do. And then .. pull the garlic.

This one photo was named by my Brother Lou Luigi who every year plants the garlic for us. (plant on Christopher Columbus weekend in October) .. he arranged the above and named the photo. 'Swimming Garlic'

Here you have my brother with fists full of 'garlic' !

This is the first year I have grown these 'hot red peppers' ..

Hope you enjoy my seeing how my garden is growing.!

Why You Should Get More SleepEveryone knows that getting enough sleep is important. But many people don’t realize just how bad -- for mind and body -- sleep deprivation really is.

This is a subject near and dear to me .. as I have severe Sleep Apnea ... and anyone who has this .. knows first hand .. the devastating effects of this disorder.!!!

It was so bad .. that during a conversation, regardless if it was on the phone or in person ... I would just nod off .. talk about embarrassing. My friends .. would often ask .. are you on drugs ?? Lord have mercy.!
Not to mention when driving .. wow .. scared me to death. I was so happy when my Doc told me .. I was only allowed to drive no more than 15 minutes at a time.

I had every symptom in this article .. it is no joke that is for sure.
Sleeping with a cpap machine is not the easiest thing in the world .. It took me many months to adjust to having this 'thing' on my face while I attempt to sleep .. Well now, I would not ever want to sleep without it. (or should I say .. I cannot sleep without it).

It is not the most attractive thing .. so, those with partners ..
the benefits of NO snoring and a lively libido makes it so worth it. ...
To read more on this: Why you should get more sleep.!

This is such an exciting time of year .. so much going on in the garden.
New beginnings on so many levels ..

Just a reminder .. I am a firm believer in samples .. so, when checking out ..
oh .. at SunRoseAromatics.com .. if there is something you would like to experience and / or compare, please put it in the 'Comments Section' at check out .. or .. you will get what I call 'Sample Surprise' ..
