Another year coming to a close ..
Much reflecting on the year gone by.
Thought the 'star watchers' might find this information interesting:
NEW YEAR'S EVE: What a way to end the year. On Dec. 31st, Venus and the slender crescent Moon will gather together high in the southwestern sky for a beautiful conjunction visible for hours after sunset. The two brightest objects in the night sky can be seen through city lights and even fireworks--so everyone can enjoy the show. Meanwhile, closer to the horizon, Mercury and Jupiter are converging for their own Dec. 31st conjunction. This one is not so easy to see, but rewarding for those who make the effort to find the two planets shining through the rosy glow of sunset.
Visit http://spaceweather.com for sky maps and photos of the converging planets.
New Year's Ball in Times Square
New Year's Ball in Times Square to stay bright, All Year Round.
We often celebrate big events with lots of bright lights, and the dropping of a giant illuminated ball in Times Square marking the New Year for revelers in Manhattan .. visit to read more of the New Year's Ball
New Year's Quote:
'Be always at war with your vices,
... at peace with your neighbors,
and let each new year find you -
.... a better man.'
~~ Benjamin Franklin
Wishing you a safe and healthy 2009.!

A picture journey from SunRose 2008
Gina & Melady .. a Mom's Love .. 2008
Jennifer Jefferies & friends Dec 2008
The New Yankee Stadium 2008
David Oller presenting his Incense Kodo 2008
Nite views in the garden at 1120 Club 2008
The above are just a few of the many pictures thru out the year .. (some of which I would love to put up .. but can't locate on the puter .. oh joy) ..
Having Jennifer here .. is like having a sister visit .. she is amazing .. we had a great time and dinner with the Gang .. Jean Smith, Jen, Gina Christie & Johanna.
David Oller's kodo was amazing .. as always ..
The year is almost at an end .. though there has been some 'historical happenings' this year,
there is still so much suffering on this planet ..
We need to re establish a sense of community ... people coming together .. helping each other.
what a concept I know .. one that this society is so far removed from.
However, I am blessed .. due to the internet .. to have met such wonderful people .. loving, sharing, caring .. empowering.
My wish for all those in my life .. joy, love, good health, and peace.
With Mother Nature dumping all this snow / rain / sleet ..
for those that have to travel,
safe journey.
Thank you for reading my Sunday ramblings..
Happy Winter Solstice,

of mistletoe in their homes and places of celebration

Many thanks ! 10 Years Later.. !!!
This is a time of thanks .. to all those that have supported me and my vision of SunRose. Here I am .. 10 yrs later ... it is just amazing to me. Many thanks to all my customers, family and friends that have been with me thru these years .. and continue to believe in SunRose and the beautiful aromatic materials we offer.
Saying that ... thru the years I have developed friendships with my suppliers/ distillers from around the world. I am ever aware of the strife in many of the countries essential oils are obtained from.
Most recently, the atrocities going on in Mumbai .. and the terrorists attacks there last week. This was equivalent to the 9/11 terrorists attack here in NYC .. I had the honor of meeting Ramakant, our grower/distiller from India, a few years back. My dear friend Sandrine VanSlee had brought him up to the Bronx to meet me .. he is such a kind, gentle man .. his love and knowledge of essential oils is just amazing.
Then to read about the attacks there .. makes me so very thankful that I live here in the USA. We sometimes forget that we still do have so many freedoms, and as a female ..
the opportunities that I have .. however, would NOT have in many other countries.
The Internet has made it is easy for us to get to know the people of far off countries, learning about their customs and way of life. This has been one of the major blessings that I am so thankful for.
When I read this article .. I thought it so apropos ... sometimes we forget .. we are a community, those of this modern generation have become so insular .. emails, texting, etc .. to read more:
Keep Friendship Alive - People need people. And often they don’t realize how great their need is until some moment of great joy or deep sorrow. At some point in your life you’ve probably experienced this yourself—wanting to share some great news with a friend or, perhaps during hard times, needing care and support from others ...

Quotes of the season:
'No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its turn.'
--- Hal Borland
'Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.'
--- William Cullen Bryant
'Man is the only creature that refuses to be what he is.'
--- Albert Camus
Its getting a bit chilly here, a preview of the artic blast of winter to come. I have been watching the leaves falling and they are all but gone now. the squirrels have been eating all the acorns and hitting poor little Sasha on the head .. and then of course .. the chase is on .. they do love to tease her.
As the Holidays are approaching don't get caught up in all that frantic zooming around .. take time for yourself, make some gifts as they are the most cherished.
And please, take note of family and friends.. this time of year some folks fall into a depression. So, give them a hug and make them smile.

Boo! - Scary day(s) ahead!
The other nite my dearest friend (Ms Gina Pieretti) and I went into Manhattan.
It was one of those crisp, clear nites and Gina took this picture from the FDR Drive. We were driving south bound. (On our way to Little Italy / Chinatown).
If you notice in the top 'left hand' corner ..
there seems to be 'lights' floating.
No explanation.
Just thought I would share this ..
This is one of my all time favorite time of year.
The summer heat is gone the crisp Autumn air ..
Harvest is in, time to snuggle and get cozy ..
Some trivia on Halloween / Samhain / All Saints Day -
Of course - The kids (and some adult folks) enjoy dressing up for the Halloween parties, trick or treat.. those scary haunted houses, spooky stories. Yikes!
Then for those who celebrate Samhain (pronounced 'sow-en') which derives from the Gaelic 'Samhuin' .. the time to honor our ancestors, celebrating those who have died, to celebrate the connection between this world and the next. Sunset on Samhain is the beginning of the Celtic New Year.
Around the eighth century, the Catholic Church decided to use November 1st as 'All Saints Day'. A smart move on their part, as the local pagans were already celebrating that day anyway. So it made sense to use it as a church holiday.
Another scary day coming up is Election Day.
This coming Tuesday November 4th is the Presidential Election.
I pray hard for this country.
The large deficit, unemployment, foreclosures ..
just a scary scary time for America I think ..
Male, interrupted -
As more genital birth defects are seen in boys, attention turns to phthalates, chemicals found in a variety of consumer products.

Halloween quotes to end this Blog post -
George Carlin -
There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.
H P Lovecraft -
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear,
and the oldest and strongest kind of fear ...
is fear of the unknown.
Henry C Link -
Fear is nature's warning signal to get busy.

Labor Day ~ End of Summer ~!
The weekend is winding down .. the weather has truly been glorious.
My garden is wild .. for lack of a better term, and I know soon it will settle down into the 'Autumn' look. The colors changing .. this is such a visual season for me ..!!
This week, has been a political bonanza to say the least.
The Democratic nomination of Mr Obama was history in the making.
Then we have the Republican rebuttal with Ms. Palin ..
My dearest and oldest friend Kat and I were on the phone ranting and raving watching history unfold on TV ...
Though I know a lot of people are over saturated with all the political hoopla, if you are interested in an honest and refreshing view point, please visit a friend of mine's blog Ms Sarah Campbell over at the Herbs from the Labyrinth Blog and read:: Two messages from Starhawk at the Republican National Convention.
Then, for this month's reading from Kat, check out her RockTarot.com
Be sure to read her 'goddess speak' column on the right hand side of the page,as New Yorkers .. 9/11 has not been forgotten. We have friends and family members that are still healing from that horrific day.
Speaking of which .. I have been watching some movies that really were an eye opener.
'Stop Loss' and 'Kite Runner' .. two very moving and intense movies. I am not into watching war movies or anything violent. However, these are stories that need to be heard.
For some really beautiful photography of nature .. my friend Sue over at Farm at Coventry Blog is a visual explosion of beauty!
So it's back to school, vacations are over .. and a new season beginning. After the summer of heat and sun be sure to pamper your skin.
Visit these pages:

Monsanto to dump rBGH!!
This is great news.!! I urge you to read this article, it is a Victory for sure for the consumers of this country. Please go to : Consumer Victory: Monsanto to Dump rBGH.
Monsanto has been lobbying state legislatures and departments of argiculture around the country to harass dairies that won't use Posilac (the trade name for rBGH). Monsanto wants to take away dairies' right to tell consumers they're rBGH-free.
Please take the time to go to your state action center to lean more and take action.

Dog Days of Summer are here.!
The Dog Days of Summer are upon us. Yes indeed, the heat is hot, the humidity is off the charts!
The good news .. my tomatoes are starting to turn red and I have had my first 'home grown' tomatoes this week. Been eating fresh squash, cucumbers, the garlic harvest was awesome. Can you tell I love garlic.!
The economy has us all 'holding our breaths'. The gas prices are 'over the top' and many of us are trying to renegotiate the way we purchase items and do our 'running around' .. Which is all a good thing really.
They keep saying 'Americans are soft'. Well, I don't believe that. Call me 'Pollyanna' .. but I do believe .. when the going gets tough .. we step up to the plate.
The upcoming elections .. well honestly, I can't go down that road.. politics and all.. I rather keep that 'opinion' to myself. Suffice it to say, I'm not happy. My generation, (yes indeed I'm a left over hippie) .. we spoke out and rebelled.. and many of us .. are ready to do it again. Are we really a nation of 'sheep'.. ??
Well, its something to think about.!
Here is an interesting story that needs to be heard. Acupuncture treatment offered free for veterans: 'It's aim to help with post-combat stress'.

This website was created to provide you with the information you need to make an informed vaccination decision.
The new and improved SunRoseAromatics.com is up and running, and I'm happy to report with minimal problems. Thank you all for your patience with this process and I do hope that you are enjoying the new SunRose site.

One of New York's Bravest
I just had to blog about my cousin, Dean Tartaro, a New York City Firefighter. The head line reads:
Bravest save 5 in daring rescue from Coney Island cruise nightmare.
To read this article please visit: New York Daily News page
It is still a humid hot day here in the Bronx. My garden is so lush and blooming.Today a baby Blue Jay fell out of his nest and the parents were very loud and boisterous about it. I gently picked up the baby and placed him on a fountain that is not in use here. He seemed ok .. just frightened.
The parent Blue Jays were letting me know that they were not leaving their little one, so I quietly went in the house, waited around 20 minutes, went back out to check and the baby Blue Jay was gone.
I'm hoping the parents took him back to the nest. One never knows with nature. So I will hope for the best.!!
Be sure to care for your skin, especially when in the sun. Moisturize and remember to use sunblock, drink lots of liquids and hydrate your skin when ever possible.
My favorite to use is the Geranium Hydrosol or Rose Hydrosol, to read about hydrosols, please visit our page: SunRose Hydrosol Page.
Also, for sunburns, rashes and moisturizing your face our cooling Aloe Vera & Seaweed Gel is just wonderful for your skin. For more information please visit: SunRose Aloe Vera & Seaweed Gel.
The lazy days of summer are upon us .. or 'summer hours' .. it is so important to remember to take some time for yourself and rest.

Summer Solstice ~ This & That
Solstice Moon Illusion ~
June 16 , 2008: Sometimes you just can't believe your eyes. This week is one of those times. On Wednesday night, June 18th, step outside at sunset and look around. You'll see a giant form rising in the east. At first glance it looks like the full Moon. It has craters and seas and the face of a man, but this "moon" is strangely inflated. It's huge!
A shout out to one of our very own locals:
Dr. Mike Shapiro is a long time family friend, and someone that has helped me thru the years. A true healer in his own right, if you are in the area and need a chiropractor, he is the 'go to' guy.! To read more about Dr. Mike and what he does, please visit his website: Dr.MikeShapiro.com
On the Essential Herbal list that I am on, Sue over at Farm At Coventry, spoke about drying herbs .. with her permission here is the post where she describes the process:
It's almost too simple ...
- Harvest herbs right after dew dries on a sunny day
(with the knowledge that the next few days will be dry and sunny)
- Put small amounts of herbs in paper bags being careful not to load it up to full.
- They have to be able to breathe.
- Keep the doors and windows of the vehicle closed.
- You can either put the bag in the trunk or the back seat.
- Give the bag a shake a few times a day.
- By the third day they should be completely dry.
Note:
(I have dried lemon verbena completely in 6-8 hours in a hot car!)
Fleshier leaves will take longer.
We dry all of our calendula flowers, mints and oregano this way.
They dry very crisp and retain the color. Its amazing.
I will never hang bundles again in this humid old PA farmhouse! You'll? just need to bring them in, strip off the leaves and IMMEDIATELY store them in a dark place in an airtight container.
My best advice for this process is to harvest small amounts at a time.
One time I harvested all my oregano at once and decided to put down the back seat of my SUV , lay down a cloth tablecloth, then all the oregano and cover it all with paper bags. My car smelled like a pizzeria for a week until it was dry! and it took forever to get it stripped off and put away.
Remember:: Only pick what you can comfortably process.
Sue said credit for this information should be given to Jim Long at Long Creek Herbs .
Well, Summer is officially here.! Don't forget to stay hydrated, drink plenty of fluids, and protect your skin. And remember that little children and the elderly on really hot days need extra attention.!
Summer veggies, farmers markets, bounty from your garden, fresh cut flowers, the ocean and just relaxing .. the lazy days of summer are here. Be safe and enjoy,!

Ease into Summer ~
These yummy mushrooms grow on my brother's property upstate Kent, NY.
My brother calls this picture :: 'The three amigos' for obvious reasons.
(Yellow Morel - Morchella esculenta).
He made them for me .. just a little butter, salt & pepper .. mouth watering.!
The second picture is a favorite dish from our childhood .. that my Grandma would cook for us. We called it .. 'tomato's and eggs' though aka eggs in purgatory', this was a dish during the depression era. Saute some fresh garlic in olive oil, chop up the tomatoes, salt, pepper, fresh basil .. add the eggs , oh boy.!!
Those were bottled tomatoes and fresh herbs from the garden. Yum!
Navigating Food Labels::
Did you know the label "100 Percent Natural" has different meanings for chicken fingers, cookies and various other foods? Or that those "cage-free" chickens might not ever have seen the outdoors? Here's a guide to help sort out what's meaningful, what's dubious — and what's total fluff.
One of my dearest and oldest friend Kat just put up June 2008 'Rock Tarot' readings, a fun and insightful site I think you would enjoy. To visit her page click on: RockReadings.
(I read them all, and was so surprised to read Pisces.!! She made me smile.)
Ok, are we ready to 'ease' into Summer fun.! Well, with the price of gas, the cost of food and everything else happening in the world.. we should still find that quiet time to decompress and
enjoy the many blessing in our lives. For me, its enjoying my garden.
Remember .. to protect your skin, and stay hydrated.! And don't forget our furry friends, they need plenty of water as well.
Back in stock::
- Carrot Seed Hungary
- Clove Bud Madagascar
- Neroli Tunisia
- Violet Leaf Absolute France
- Yarrow Austria
The new and improved SunRose site is still working out some 'bugs' , so please, if you are experiencing any problems, please write me so that we can fit it right quick.!
I hope your garden is growing and thriving !

Mother's Day is fast approaching. What better way to honor your Mom than to gift her with exotic and natural scents, after body oils, aroma jewelry, and much more.
To all the wonderful women in my life and that I have met throughout the years .. this is your day .. know how much you are treasured and honored.
Some quotes for Mother's Day:
The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.
- Honore de Balzac sayings
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
- Inspirational sayings by Washington Irving
My Mom .. was my truest friend, and I miss her .. everyday. My Chakra book is dedicated to her, as she was my biggest supporter and believed in me .. even when I didn't believe in myself.
Please remember... whether you are a Mom or not .. to honor the Goddess within on this special day.!

slanted journalism .. oh my.! Here in America, please say it ain't so.!!
So, with that .. the LA Times today is pitching an article on 'Lavender'.
As a rebuttal to this misinformed 'Shill' of an article, with permission from Harry Roth, I am printing his response sent to the LA Times::
'Please try not to be such a shill of the fragrance industry.
I refer to your article today alleging that the effects of lavender are bogus, this assertion coming directly from a mouthpiece of the fragrance industry onto your pages. You should have at least checked PubMed for recent peer-reviewed journal articles on the efficacy of lavender in stress reduction instead of scarfing down fragrance industry pap.
Here are a few articles from JUST 2007-2008--that's right, ONE YEAR.
There are many, many more:
Nurses working in intensive care were less stressed when they used lavender.
The scent of lavender lowers blood pressure in mice.
Lavender bath oil reduces stress and crying and enhances sleep in very young infants.
Treatment with lavender aromatherapy in the post-anesthesia care unit reduces opioid requirements of morbidly obese patients undergoing laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding.
Relaxation effects of lavender aromatherapy improve coronary flow velocity reserve in healthy men evaluated by trans thoracic Doppler echo cardiography.
Positive effects of aromatherapy massage on blood pressure and lipid profile in Korean climacteric women.
Anxiolytic effects of lavender oil inhalation on open-field behaviour in rats. Shows lavender also sedating at higher doses.
Positive effects of lavender aromatherapy acupressure on hemiplegic shoulder pain and motor power in stroke patients.
Lavender relaxes women having electrocardiogram in Japan.
Lavender calms agitated behavior in people with Alzheimer's.
Lavender decreases the stress hormone cortisol.
Have an informed day.
Sincerely,
Harold A. Roth, Ph.D.
Want to say a great big 'thank you Harry!', for this wonderful and informative information.

Spring Equinox, Full Moon, New Beginnings
Well, this year is just moving along for me .. Spring is always a sign of 'rebirth' and 'new beginnings'. My Mom would always say how beautiful it was to watch Mother Nature wake up from her sleep and the beautiful 'new green' color on trees.
My garden here in the Bronx is slowly waking up,the day lilies are about 2 inches tall already, as are my irises. The grass is even starting to act up.! This year I am planning to put some blueberries & raspberries in, and some 'bee boxes'.
Part of my thing is 'recycling'. Friends bring me their peanuts and bubble wrap that I use here at SunRose. However, there is an area that some folks do not know what to do with :
their old / broken electronics i.e. cell phones, old laptops, etc.
This is an informative article:
Engineering a Tough Switch: Getting New Yorkers to Recycle Electronics - New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/10/nyregion/10recycle.html?ex=1362801600&en=1e83a25ec0dd81d1&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
Some upcoming events that may be in your area:
For those in the New England Area:
Boston Gift Show 'Gift Rap' - April 5 - 8, 2008
BGS Gift Rap http://link.ixs1.net/s/ve?eli=2187959&si=5166747554&cfc=3html
Down in Texas:
The International Congress of Esthetics & Spa
April 13 & 14, 2008
International Congress of Esthetics and Spa, Dallas 2008
http://dallas.skincareshows.com/
Attending these shows are a great way to keep in touch with the 'new wave' of products and just to meet folks in the industry.
My niece, Christie Marie Tartaro, who is also my 'house mate' at the 1120 Club here in the Bronx... is doing the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Some of us are survivors and some, though fought the good fight, have moved on to the next plane.
Revlon Run/Walk For Women - New York https://www.revlonrunwalk.com/ny/secure/MyWebPage.cfm?pID=416752
On Saturday, May 3rd I will be participating in the 11th annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women in NYC. This 5k race will help raise money for women's cancer research (breast and ovarian cancers).
While I've been hitting the gym 5-6 days a week, I'm planning on walking the 5k with my Mom and my friend Peggy.
I have set a personal fundraising goal of $500 for this great cause. I am hoping that you will be able to help me achieve my goal! Remember, no donation is too small!
If you would like to make a donation, please visit click on the link below to visit my personal fundraising page. Revlon Run/Walk For Women - New York https://www.revlonrunwalk.com/ny/secure/MyWebPage.cfm?pID=416752
Thank you in advance for your support!
Also, back in stock is the Chamomile Roman Organic, for those who have been waiting patiently I thank you.! To read about this wonderful essential oil please visit:

It sure has been a hectic few weeks here, life in progress. Spring reminds me to celebrate life with the rebirth of Nature ! Even when things seem bleak, look outside and see the beauty of nature.

HBA Spring Conference & Skin Care Products
Its a frigid day here in the big apple. Yeppers, its still winter and Mother Nature is giving us her Arctic blast for sure. Though the sun is shining bright, the skies are blue not a cloud anywhere.!
The crazy up and down weather .. balmy one day .. frigid the next. My bulbs are already 2 inches high and I really was hoping Spring was around the corner. Well, it is but .. just not yet.
Thought I would share some interesting articles:
* Find Safer Soap, Shampoo, Makeup and More:
Did you know that cosmetics and personal care products aren't tested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration before they go on the market? In fact, manufacturers are responsible for testing their own products for safety. Unfortunately this mean sun safe ingredients may be lurking in your favorite soap, shampoo or makeup. http://www.ewg.org/node/26032.
* What NOT to buy:
Major gaps in public health laws allow cosmetics companies to use almost any ingredient they choose in everything from sunscreen and mascara to deodorant and baby shampoo, with no restrictions and no requirement for safety testing. To help you navigate your store's aisles, Environmental Working Group researchers have scoured thousands of ingredient labels to bring you our top recommendations for what not to buy — products with worrisome or downright dangerous ingredients that don't belong in your shopping cart or on your skin.

The HBA Spring Conference
Javits Center in Manhattan
March 4 -5, 2008
HBA University SM presents its premier educational symposium, which covers two powerful aspects of the industry: “Achieving Well-Being: The New Paradigm,” and “International Prestige Package & Design”. The dual program, on March 4-5, 2008, will cover high-interest topics that address the growing consumer demand for healthy inner and outer beauty as well as brand marketers’ quest for “Beauty-in-the-Bottle”. http://www.hbaexpo.com/spring-conference.htm
All this brings me to what we do here at SunRose .. the pure and natural way of caring for your skin.
Each season brings different needs, but oh what fun to be able to create your own nurturing and nourishing products for your skin.
Carrier oils are the best way to keep your skin supple, especially the 'dry flaky winter skin' that makes us itch. The low temps, low humidity and strong harsh winter winds will deplete the skin of its natural lipid layers which keeps the skin from drying out.
After bath when our skin is still damp is the best time to, as I call it, ' oil up'. If you have not ever tried using Carrier oils, i.e.: Apricot Kernel, Sweet Almond, Jojoba (great for hair as well), Rosehip Seed the highest source of Vitamin C, Evening Primrose, etc,
then you should visit our Carrier Oil page: http://sunrosearomatics.com/catalog/carrieroils.asp
Or, try our blended Carrier Oil Professional Formulas: http://sunrosearomatics.com/catalog/shop/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=37&cat=Professional+Formulas
Before we know it .. Spring will be here with the 'new green' on the trees and flowers popping up.
Stay cozy and warm,
til next time

The Week that was:: Luna Eclipse & Winter Snow
This has been a week for sure. From a full moon with a sensational Luna eclpise ending with a wonderful snow storm. Really the first real snow of the season here in the Bronx.
I know many of us have been feeling the 'itch' for Spring and digging in the dirt. My friends over at the Essenital Herbal Magazine list are starting to ponder what we will be designing and growing in our gardens this year. Everything from herbs to 'moon gardens'.
With Spring around the corner those of us missing our beautiful flowers, a visit to The New York Botanical Gardens, located right here in the Bronx, is having the annual :
The New York Botanical Gardens presents:
The Orchid Show - http://www.nybg.org/tos/
Mesmerizing and seductive, The Orchid Show presents the spectacular forms and breathtaking colors of the world's most coveted plant. Escape the winter blues by immersing yourself in the beauty and fragrance of thousands of orchids dramatically displayed in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.
If you like to find 'upbeat' sites or magazines I would love to share with you 'Ode Magazine'.
Ode is a print and online publication about positive news, about the people and ideas that are changing our world for the better.
http://www.odemagazine.com/.
And so, for a happy, put a 'smile on your face' link .. for all those 'tree huggers' out there .. (including myself) .. I really think this artist/photographer captures it all .. take a moment to view this YouTube:: The Tree Spirit Project.
by Jack Gescheidt. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SBRhdt2qOVc

Winter Doldrums / Valentine's Day Love
With Mercury Retro and the 'Winter Blues', many of my friends are feeling that midwinter 'funk' .. its been an amazing few days.
A dear friend Nancy Ogren a wonderful astrologer wrote:
'Pluto in Capricorn reminds us that we always have a choice and that when we abdicate our responsibilities, we give away our power.'
Just what I needed to hear to make myself 'snap out of it' .. as she so wisely pointed out, its time to ' start stepping up and speaking up.!
Being proactive .. I would like to post a link to a free issue of an online magazine called the Essential Herbal.
This is the link: http://www.essentialherbal.com/March%20April%202007.pdf
Tina Sams is the creator of this magazine, which I think you will find informative and fun.
Valentine's Day is approaching and there is nothing better then receiving a 'special little something' .. showing that person how special they are to you.
In case you didn't notice, we are offering 5% Valentine's Day discount off all orders over $75.00 for our retail customers, regardless of any other discounts. (this does not include shipping).
Visit: http://www.sunrosearomatics.com/
for ideas on that 'little something special'.!
A wonderful massage blend, a little aroma jewelry,
some wonderful handmade aromatic soap.
Or.. Pamper yourself to a 'little something' to chase those 'Winter Blues' away.!

Say it's not so - FDA to Back Food /Cloned Animals
Can you tell that I am so not happy with this ..!!!
Please read this article from the Washington Post.com regarding the FDA to back Food from cloned animals.
"The decision would be a notable act of defiance against Congress, which last month passed appropriations legislation recommending that any such approval be delayed pending further studies"
Am I the only one reacting to this decision ..?? And will these foods be 'labeled' appropriately for the consumer to be made aware that this is what they are ingesting. ??
Is this our future.! ?
